Photography is a language
Like any language, photography allows you to communicate ideas, emotions and the way you see the world. The difference is that it uses photographs instead of words.
Look at my work. It tells you something about the world I see, the people I'm drawn to and the themes I keep returning to. That is what a photographic language does: it communicates before anyone reads a caption.
Vision. Style. Direction. Technique.
Vision is what you choose to photograph. It begins with what attracts you, intrigues you, moves you, or even obsesses you.
Style is how you choose to photograph it.
Direction is how you guide the subject and set every element within the frame to express your vision. Whether that means directing a pose or recognizing the perfect moment, direction contributes to turning intention into reality.
Technique is the ability to master the tools and rules of photography to achieve exactly what you want.
Vision and style define your photographic language. Direction and technique bring it to life.
If you want to grow as a photographer, you need all four.
Putting It Into Practice
"I like strong women, those who scare many men." That's my vision.
Black and white, hard light, deep blacks and carefully chosen locations are some of the elements of my style. They are how I choose to express that vision.
Directing my subjects and shaping every element within the frame, from the location to the wardrobe, is my direction.
Without vision, style has nothing to express. Without direction and technique, vision and style remain abstract ideas trapped inside your head, unable to become photographs.
Learning To Speak
Like any language, photography can be learned and refined throughout your life. Whether you're discovering photography for the first time or have years of experience behind you, we’ll start from where you are, set a goal, and work to achieve it.
You may come to learn the fundamentals, review your portfolio, develop a personal project, receive guidance during a photoshoot or simply get an honest opinion on your work. You can book a single session or continue working together over time.
Whatever brings you here, Vision, Style, Direction and Technique will always be our point of reference.

Recorded courses and online tutorials can teach techniques and share knowledge.
Mentorship is something different.
Whether we meet once or continue working together over time, mentorship is built on dialogue. Ideas, questions, doubts and photographs become part of the learning process. Working together in the same place allows immediate feedback, practical experience and a depth of interaction that remote sessions simply cannot offer.
If you're looking for shortcuts, viral formulas or someone to help you chase social media trends, I'm probably not the right mentor.
