I’ve been wanting to use color for a while, but I never felt it was truly mine. Black and white is perfect for my photography; it’s in my blood, and I ‘see’ the images in B&W before I even shoot them. So I thought, “Alright, I need a strong color to match my black and white; otherwise, it doesn’t make sense to do it.” I chose red because it embodies passion, power, energy, and provocation. It’s the essence of the woman I photograph: strong, sensual, confident, vibrant, and daring. I decided everything had to be red: the makeup, the nails, the lingerie, the car. Go all in. That’s how this photoshoot came to be. On set, there was a lot of energy and chemistry between all of us, and everything clicked perfectly. We wanted this result, and we had a blast.
